I think we are much too interested in ourselves to even care. Of course, that means it's already too late... time to learn Mandarin. I wonder if a 3rd/2nd world country does a better job than we do. I do know they have a 99.7% literacy rate. When I told dad, he said, "So they're smarter than we are, huh?"
