Front End Development
Atlanta, GA (2007 - 2008) — Macquarium Intelligent Communications
Headquartered in Atlanta, Macquarium is a full lifecycle Internet Solutions consultancy that specializes in strategy, design and technology. While at Macquarium I have served as a lead and supporting front end developer on projects for clients ranging from The Home Depot, UPS and Cox to Yahoo! promotional sites for Indiana Jones 4, MasterCard and Kmart. My most exciting project so far has been the Indiana Jones 4 Yahoo! Kids Lunchables Maxedout Promotional website. The team and talent was world class... an awesome experience!

EarthLink WebMail
Atlanta, GA (2007) — EarthLink, Inc.
I was part of a team working to update EarthLink's webmail product using current web technologies. Most of my work involves improvements to the design and functionality of the presentation layer/user interface.

Star Trek Online
San Francisco, CA (2006 - 2007) — Perpetual Entertainment, Inc.
Working on a website for Star Trek Online (STO) was a blast. I worked closely with the STO team to create a tantalizing introductory website for this highly anticipated MMO.
The planning and design stages of the project were a collaborative effort between our web team and the artists and content writers of STO. Once art assets and content were created, the site was developed using web standards compliant code and integrated Flash and Flash Video. Sound-FX were added by the web team using standard Star Trek audio elements.
Technology: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Flash 8/9, Flash Video, Project Management, Sound Design
Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising - Community / Accounts / Promotions
San Francisco, CA (2006 - 2007) — Perpetual Entertainment, Inc.
I was responsible for all Gods & Heroes (G&H) websites which were not provided by our game publisher, Sony Online Entertainment (SOE). Using elements of game UI and primary character and landscape assets delivered by the G&H art team, I created a unified theme for G&H community, account management and promotional websites.
One of my favorite projects was the PC Gamer Promo a PHP/MySQL based web app that allowed people to register online and receive a code for an in-game War Boar minion.
Technology: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MovableType/Drupal, Jive Forums, Flash 8/9, Flash Video, Project Management, Sound Design
Perpetual Entertainment Corporate
San Francisco, CA (2006 - 2007) — Perpetual Entertainment, Inc.
A complete redesign of the corporate website was my first project with Perpetual (images 1 - 4). A new website was created featuring a Flash showcase for our games and an open design that allowed room for a new logo when completed. Before leaving Perpetual to work at EarthLink, I was finalizing a design that fully incorporated the new logo design (images 5 and 6 below).
The final images (9 - 10) are websites I created while interviewing for Perpetual in 2005. The assignment was to take a week and create original designs for the three main Perpetual web properties: God & Heroes, Star Trek Online and the corporate website.

Hinds Community College Websites
Raymond, MS (2003 - 2005) — Hinds Community College
As webmaster at HCC, I had full creative and developmental control of all external and internal websites. The biggest challenge was managing the enormous amount of content on the primary college site: www.hindscc.edu. Before leaving for Perpetual Entertainment, I was researching content management systems which would allow faculty and staff to generate user controlled content.
In addition to the primary college website, I was responsible for the intranet design and development as well as themeing third party web products used by students and faculty. Some of the most interesting projects were the SACS accreditation website (images 3 - 4) which enabled the collection of detailed faculty data and a database driven events calendar (5 - 8).

Particle Sphere
Clinton, MS (2001 - 2004) — LlamaTech, Inc.
Particle Sphere is a comic I created which ran for several years online before going on hiatus. Currently I am re-imagining the project and working to write a solid first episode script. The images below were selected from over one-hundred scenes created for the project.
The basic concept for Particle Sphere occurred to me at Project A-Kon in June of 2001. I had just purchased a new notebook and was enjoying a leisurely Sunday morning in a coffee shop a few miles from the convention. As I sipped java and stared at a blank page, the concept for a new type of sci-fi character came to mind...
Imagine a young woman who is host to quantum technology that gives her great powers over space/time. The technology provides a sphere of protection around her, allows her to travel rapidly over great distances and transposes quantum phenomena to the real world.
In 2004, I participated as a guest panelist on web comics and web design at the Fanime Convention in San Jose, CA. (Panel Photos)
